New feature in Banshee... and more yet to come!

Let say that we are too lazy to open Banshee whole interface, why just don't skip the song? with one click? well we just got it :)

Try this new feauture using Banshee from svn:

svn co http://svn.gnome.org/svn/banshee/branches/banshee/stable

In other news trunk is now broken in order to include the brand new library track view control.

Azureus(Vuze) in Linux

After more than a year that Azureus 3.0 Vuze bittorrent client released, we got Azureus 3.0 in Linux, what I call the big lie... JAVA IS NOT THAT CROSSPLATFORM we have been seeing this type of projects that have more features or different behavior in Linux(or Windows or MacOS X), look Frostwire, Limewire, Netbeans... all those Java apps.

Well but the good part about this is that we can try Vuze that I think is a very good piece of software :)

Evolution is very clever :)

Another very good feature of Ubuntu is a new version of Evolution "The Linux Email Client", it's actually very smart identifying if you want to send an attachment with your email.

Don't believe it? take a look at it:

Dear Lazy Web I need a html button!

I need a html button to post one of the new features of Ubuntu the apt url's:

This is a very good feature that allow you to just click a url like these in your browser:

apt://ubuntu-restricted-extras
apt://banshee
apt://gftp

etc... this is cool but we need a button just like the OpenSuSE one-click-install service:

Glipper - Thanks KDE for the idea :P

Glipper is a Gnome clipboard manager, that helps you manages your... clipboard :P.

It's a copy of the very good idea of KDE called Klipper, thanks KDE for the nice idea.

Ubuntu 2007.10.18 Gutsy Gibbon(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibbon) released last Thursday, is the latest Ubuntu Linux distribution release.

Includes a lot of new features, like compiz-fusion by default, a new Gnome version(2.20), Deskbar desktop search applet, a new printer manager (taken from RedHat), Tracker indexed desktop search, Pidgin... and a lot more.

My very own screenshot:

My 13 days with openSuSE

I'm just about uninstall openSuSE from my main computer. As a Mono user trying out openSuSE is a must, and guest what? SuSE still is my second choice in Linux distributions. Because a lot of reasons:

1. Very updated
2. Great support of multimedia
3. Suspend works
4. Gnome is very well integrated(even in Yast)
5. Multimedia playback out-of-the-box
6. All my Mono applications and tools are in their latest versions
7. It's damn fast!

What I don't like:

1. Very hard to finally configure compiz
2. GTK Yast need some love
3. x86_64 is not 100% out-of-the-box, I had to install Firefox(x86 from their site.
4. I was unable to reduce my monitor brightness
5. Why do I have to close my Gnome session to start compiz?
